- Abstract:
- The World Peace Council (WPC) is an international organization representing over 100 countries. Currently, its headquarters are in Greece. The organization was founded in 1948 and Frederic Joliot-Curie was its first president. According to the WPC website, it is described as an "anti-imperialist, democratic, independent and non-aligned international movement of mass action. It is an integral part of the world peace movement and acts in cooperation with other international and national movements" (2011).
