- Walter D. Ellis was an amateur photographer and the first licensed taxidermist in Pennsylvania. The Walter D. Ellis photographs, 1900-1925, consist of about 100 images, glass plate negatives and prints, depicting landscapes, family groups (apparently recent immigrants), and residents of eastern Montgomery County.
