George N. Zendt (1877-1941) was the first president of the People's National Bank of Souderton, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. His wife M. Eva Zendt (1878-1957), was a teacher, member of Zwingli Evangelical and Reformed Church, and a founding member of the Souderton-Telford Woman's Club. The couple had four children, including Harvey B. Zendt and the Rev. A. Randal Zendt (1902-1976). Rev. Zendt, a minister of the Reformed Church in the United States, earned citations from the New York State Council of Churches and the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene for his 14 years as chaplain of the Brooklyn State Hospital in New York.

This collection includes financial records and personal papers from various members of the Zendt family, as well as genealogical information. The best represented family members are M. Eva and George Zendt, A. Randal Zendt, Harvey B. Zendt, and Abraham Hallman.

The financial records in the Zendt family papers include tax documents, 1920s-1930s; bills and receipts; stock certificates for Zendt Brothers clothing manufacturing company; and Benjamin Gaskell and Company account book. The personal papers include diaries and accounts of A. Randal Zendt and M. Eva Brandt Zendt, 1898-circa 1920; correspondence, 1930s-1960s; and school papers, including notebooks, reports, and lesson plans. The genealogical information includes obituaries, estate papers, and genealogical research.
