Elizabeth Hudson Morris (1721-1783) was born to William and Jane Hudson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1721. Morris traveled as a Quaker minister with Jane Hoskins from 1747 to 1749 through Pennsylvania, New York, Ireland, and Scotland. Elizabeth married Anthony Morris, Jr. in 1752. Elizabeth Hudson Morris died May 22, 1783, at 62.

This collection includes the original, loose leaf copy of Elizabeth Hudson Morris's diary, as well as a photocopy of the original, and a typed transcript. Entries describe Elizabeth's travel as a Quaker minister throughout the British colonies in North America, as well as Ireland and Scotland, and Quaker meetings. Copied versions of letters from Jane Hoskins are also included in the volume.
